Visit St Andrews
“Visit St Andrews is the official tourism portal for St Andrews. Working with the vibrant business and resident organisations in the town, we signpost to existing resources and fill in the gaps with our own content.”
This new site (spring ’10) is an excellent resource for St Andrews information and links.
Event-related

- St Andrews News ”aims to open up the town and everything that goes together to make it what it is, to the wider world.”
General St Andrews Links
- For a glimpse of the golfing history of St Andrews try to catch actor, playwright, author, artist, historian and character-about-town David Joy's performances as Tom Morris, the grand old man of 19th century golf: www.golfhistorian.co.uk
- www.standrewsphotos.com has some very good pictures of St Andrews on it.
- A long-standing St Andrews web site is www.saint-andrews.co.uk – there’s a lot there and a lot of links to other St Andrews related sites.
- As well as the regular press St Andrews has its own dedicated magazine: St Andrews in Focus
- The town’s Merchants’ Association which has provided tourists and townspeople with free maps and Christmas lights for many years.
- St Andrews Directory “… will hopefully act as a definitive directory for businesses, attractions and community resources for the town. It’s completely free (both to view and to get listed).”

In The Area
- I rather wish The Inn at Lathones, Largoward, (out of town on the A915) was a bit closer to St Andrews, given its Rock at the Stables events, then I'd list them on the main pages. Alas it’s outside walking distance so you just get a link to the events promoter.
- Also in the area, just round the coast in the East Neuk of Fife, is the village of Crail, which has its own events site at About Crail.
